Joseph Charles Roe:
My Dad was from Arkansas and my mother was from Texas. I have two brothers that live near Kansas City, Missouri. I was born on August 7, 1931 at Viola, Arkansas in Fulton county. I graduated from High School in 1949 at Viola, Harding University at Searcy in 1953 with a BA in Biology, Washington University in St. Louis in 1959 with a MA in Science Ed., and University the Arkansas in 1979 with a MS in Industrial Engineering. I taught High School Science and Mathematics for several years. I worked as a Food Technologist for Pet Milk Company in their R & D Center in Greenville, Illinois. I also worked as Quality Engineer Manager for Johnson & Johnson in San Angelo , Texas. After retirement I taught Mathematics & Engineering courses at Howard Community College in Texas and Arkansas State University at Beebe, Arkansas. I was playing minor league baseball in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma when I met my wife, at the café where she worked. I asked her for a date and we have been together ever since. We were married in 1951 and we have 6 children, 4 boys and 2 girls. Mary Ann, my wife, became a Christian in 1953 and myself in 1958. I was a deacon for 20 years in Texas and I am now a deacon at Judsonia since year 2000. |
