On December 29, 2010, we loaded container
#60 for the year, sending benevolent items to several orthopedic
hospitals in Eastern Ukraine. The actual value of the contents
was over one million dollars because it was filled with pallets
and boxes of orthopedic surgical commodities, prostheses,
braces, splints, hospital beds, an orthpedic surgical table, and
hospital linens and clothing. 636 total pieces were loaded! The
container is scheduled to arrive in Ukraine on February 14.
The commodities shipped in the container
were collected from a number of sources around Arkansas.
Several hospitals donated items. The Ft. Smith, Arkansas
WestArk congregation's "C.U.R.E." ministry was a significant
help in assisting us with goods for this shipment. |
One of the news media
on-hand was KATV, Channel 7 in Little Rock. Their
reporter/photographer was very patient. It was about a
4-hour process to clean, tag, and inventory the items and
pack them in the container, and he was on-hand throughout
the process. A link to their report is shown below: |
